10 Reasons To Have Your Honeymoon In Hawaii
I understand that as a Hawaii Travel Agent, I may appear to be a little biased in recommending a honeymoon in Hawaii. In any case, Hawaii is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the world, and for good reason. Here are ten reasons to spend your honeymoon in Hawaii.
1. Wedding Planning Is Difficult
Before becoming a Travel Professional, I worked in the wedding industry for ten years. As a Hawaii Travel Agent, approximately 90% of my clients are on honeymoon or anniversary trips.
So believe me when I say that I understand how stressful wedding planning can be. Hawaii is the ideal place to unwind. There has been a lot in the news recently about dangers at popular honeymoon spots. Fortunately, Hawaii is extremely safe, probably safer than where you live.
Hawaii is not only safe, but it is also extremely relaxing. Hawaii has a fantastic vibe (whether you believe in such things or not), and the locals are extremely friendly. Because tourism is Hawaii’s number one industry, you’ll find amazing 5-star resorts, fantastic spas, and so much more.
2. The Best Romance Destination
The Hawaiian Islands, particularly Maui, are among the world’s top romantic destinations. From private helicopter tours to romantic sunset dinners on the beach, to couples massages at a 5-star resort. In Hawaii, there are numerous opportunities for romantic moments.
3. Residents Of The United States Will Not Need A Passport
If you are a US citizen, you do not need a passport to fly to Hawaii. And, yes, I am frequently asked this question. Other intriguing questions can be found in my Hawaii FAQ. The lack of a passport requirement makes Hawaii a convenient destination for visitors from the mainland.
4. The Temperature
As a Hawaii Travel Agent, I am frequently asked this question. about the weather in Hawaii. Here’s the thing: it’s almost always lovely. While there is still a chance of bad weather, it is extremely unlikely. You’ve probably heard that Hawaii gets a lot of rain.
Well, I’m here to tell you that the resorts are not in areas where it rains frequently. Most of the island’s resort areas are dry and sunny all year.
4B. The Sunrise!
Is there anything else I should say?
5. The Outlook
It’s difficult to find a more beautiful honeymoon destination than Hawaii. The landscape is one of the reasons to honeymoon in Hawaii, along with the safety, fantastic weather, and abundance of activities.
6. Water-Related Activities
If you enjoy water activities, Hawaii is the place to be. Hawaii has far too many water activities to list, including surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, and sailing.
7. Additional Outdoor Activities
Even if you don’t like water activities, there are plenty of other things to do. Hawaii has some of the best hikes in the world, as well as ziplines over rainforests and biking adventures. Hawaii is an ideal destination for outdoor-loving couples.
8. The Cultural Events
Is there a recurring theme here that the variety of activities is a great reason to honeymoon in Hawaii? Before visiting Hawaii, I always recommend learning about its history and culture. Fortunately, there are many cultural activities in Hawaii to enjoy during your honeymoon.
You can visit ancient Hawaiian villages, learn more about them at the Polynesian Cultural Center, or even take a historical cruise on Kealakekua Bay. You don’t have to know everything about Hawaii before visiting, but you should read a book or two before you go. Pro Tip: Reading is an excellent way to pass the time on a long plane ride! “The Great Book of Hawaii” comes highly recommended by me.
9. The Beach
Would this list of the best reasons to honeymoon in Hawaii be complete if we didn’t mention the beaches? Hawaii has beautiful “regular” beaches, but it also has amazing black, red, and even green sand beaches. Some of Hawaii’s best beaches include:
- Oahu’s Lanikai Beach.
- Maui’s Kaanapali Beach.
- The Big Island’s Hapuna Beach.
- Maui’s Makena Beach (Big Beach and Little Beach).
- Kauai’s Hanalei Bay.
- The Big Island’s Papakolea Beach (Green Sand Beach).
- Kauai’s Makua Beach (Tunnels Beach).
- Kauai’s Polihale State Park.
- Lanai’s Polihua Beach.
10. The Aloha Spirit
This was mentioned briefly in #1, but it bears repeating. One of the best reasons to honeymoon in Hawaii is to experience the Aloha Spirit. To put it as simply as possible, the Aloha Spirit is a way of treating one another with love and respect.
I’ve discovered that the way you feel in Hawaii is unlike anywhere else. That alone makes it an ideal honeymoon location. When you combine the beaches, activities, resorts, and culture, you have the ideal location for your honeymoon.
