2. Waiola Shave Ice.
No matter the weather, people wait in line at Waiola Shave Ice, at either of its locations. Famous for its fluffy ice and a range of flavors and toppings spread across five menu boards, Waiola has the admiration of locals and travelers. With so many options, it can be tough to decide – but don’t worry, Waiola Shave Ice offers pre-crafted combinations that will tantalize your taste buds. 3. Uncle Clay’s House of Pure Aloha
At Uncle Clay’s House of Pure Aloha, you can always find real fruit and locally-made ice cream on the menu. Uncle Clay’s shave ice is something that you mustn’t miss, as it looks great and is made with love. The smallest shave ice costs $2.25 and the largest, ‘The Ultimate’, is a big combination with plenty of toppings, enough to share with your friends, and it costs $11. Situated in ʻĀina Haina Shopping Center, Uncle Clay’s is just a 20-minute drive away from Honolulu’s city centre.

4. Island Vintage Shave Ice
If you’re searching for a delicious shave ice experience with fresh fruit toppings, Island Vintage Shave Ice has you sorted. With heavenly Lilikoʻi, Coconut Island and Green Island combinations, you can enjoy a smooth and fluffy shave ice, ranging in price from $5.95 for mini sizes to $8.95 for larger servings. (Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the physical location of Island Vintage Shave Ice is closed, but take out orders are still available.)

5. Shimazu Shave Ice
Hidden beside a popular spot in Hawai’i, Rainbow Drive-In, Shimazu Shave Ice is a place to visit when you’re on Oʻahu. Delicious flavors such as peaches ‘n’ creme, green milk tea royale and durian are offered. A small size is huge, so make sure to come with an empty stomach to savor this local delicacy. Note that payments are only accepted in cash.
